We're Baaaaccckkkk!

We got the internet unbroken ... Okay, I know that the internet wasn't really broken but that is what we call it around here.  So what happened??  Well, Wednesday night a huge storm blew in to our area.  It brought everything from Thunder and Lightening to hail ... I had to run out in the hail and get Angel and the Calves put up... It wasn't fun but these storms come up fast out here.

When the storm had pasted it had left behind a blown up Modem and a Blown up router in the house.  How did that happen?  Well, Mom is good about making us turn off and unplug the computer when storms come through.  To bad she didn't think to unplug the phone cable from the Modem.  Therefore when the lightening struck the ground very close to the house we lost those two items.  So why didn't we get our internet back yesterday?  Well, the storm was so bad that it knocked out the internet provider at their end as well.  We had to wait until they got service back up and running to figure out we had a problem at our end as well.  Today was the first day the repair woman could get here and figure it all out.  I have to admit.  I think Mom liked not having internet.  She went to bed early both nights .....
As for today we turned the boys out in the pasture again.  And I think Mom is really proud of Jethro.  I'll tell you why.  Remember Mom found Jethro at the shelter.  He was young but no other information was known about him.  Today we got all the information we needed.  When we turned out the sheep, goats and alpaca into the pasture, Jethro took his place as if he had been doing it all his life.  Check these photos out ... When Jethro sees them out he walks out to the pasture and take a spot with them and lays down to "watch"

Honestly we were out to get you some pictures of the animals but got something much more important if you ask us.  We got confirmation of a "working" Dog.  People warned us that using dogs that weren't trained or bred right was a mistake.  They said that not knowing the parents would mean that the dog would kill the sheep and they told horror story after horror story ... We ignored those stories and Mom said not to worry (I have to admit I did worry but I learned something out of this too... Mom knows Dogs).  Mom said we had to have faith in God that he brought us the right dog.  And we now know without a doubt and have Faith in Jethro to guard our sheep.
Anyway, Tomorrow is my roping clinic and then I have one chore to do with Dad for Mom on Sunday ... Then MONDAY!!!  If all goes well and the weather holds.... Monday will rock ... Oh we did get some cuteness pictures for you.  Check this out...

Oh and did I mention that in about a month this little guy will be sold as a pet... It is Apache... And he might even come back for sheering and I might even be able to get his fleece if they decide to sell it ... But that won't be until next spring so we will cross that bridge when we get there...
