Truth time

5/21/2013

With everything going on I am trying to think of good things. I decided to do a post about Carrie and Reba.  This morning they got to meet for the first time.  When we got home last night it was after dark and I didn't want to disturb Carrie ... You know being in the family way and all... So I decided that this morning after chores I would introduce them.  This is Reba waiting on her feed...
Picture
Isn't she tall ... She is even a bit taller then Carrie and Reba is younger then Carrie.  Here they are together.

Carrie is the one in front.  Look at the size difference.  What about the Fleece?  Well, I tried to get a photo of Reba's Fleece but she has been sheered so her fleece is short and it is hard to show it in a picture but I will give it a shot

This is Carrie's Fleece.

This is Reba's Fleece ... I know the picture doesn't show it the fleece is very nice.
Both Fleece arenice medium grade fleece and Dorset normally run from 26 to 32 micron count but we are going to turn it into some durible wool yarn and see what all of you make it into.  Mom says it feels soft even though it isn't known as a luxury wool.  She says hats and socks and a sweater to wear to the barn would all fit this wool....  We will see...

Man, Reba almost looks Photoshopped, her lines are so clean and sharp! What a lovely ewe!

Gorgeous! She is tall! I think she is taller than me! Is that a good thing with a big, hoofed animal?? :).

The fleece sounds nice. My kitties want more cat blankets to snuggle up in!
