Okay so somedays on the farm aren't all about the animals. Today was one of those days. You see the septic here is really old. It is the kind with an old concrete tank. To bad it chose today to mess up. Dad and I spent the day fixing on it. We only stopped to go put out a bale of hay for the ewe pen but Dad flooded the tractor so that didn't even get done. We did get most of the fire wood cleaned up though.
Tomorrow I have another Dentist Appointment so I am sure with Dad and I out of the way Mom will get things done around here. I just wish it were warmer. It can be 70 degrees one day and 35 the next ... Get warm already ... I don't even want snow anymore.
Anyway, I think I have found a plan for the farm. I am not all happy with it but as Mom says "It is what it is." That means that I will grow my herd for Fiber. On the other hand I will also sell some of the babies. I will still be naming them and keeping track of each one including where they go from our farm. I will be Praying that I can sell them all as fiber animals or pets and that none of them will be going for eating but I can't guarantee that. I hope every one understands but Mom says I can't keep them all forever because we will run out of Pasture. I will however be keeping Most of them until shearing so everyone will have a chance to purchase fleece from the animals you watch be born.
If you have any thoughts or other Ideas Please leave me a comment and let me know ...
