Time to back up and explain. I work hard and any money I make with my CSAA I am putting into a college fund and my goal is to grow this business and when I got through College I would start a scholarship fund to help others get to college. Well, the truth is I still have four years of working hard to get to college. I am already applying for scholarships and funding and running this small CSAA that I hope will take care of all my college needs. (I have a good start on my college fund I think)
However, There is a young man who needs help now! He has been a shepherd since he was nine years old. He is a breeder of champions and yet a champion in his own right. He has fought and won the champion fight of Cancer just for starters. Things were looking up this summer and his senior year of high school were looking so great. Then just a few months ago things started to go wrong. His Dad got sick and within a month was dead. Now his Mom had to sell them farm. There were payments due and she couldn't make them. She is disabled and can't work thanks to a car wreck that happened years ago. All their savings went to Medical Bills. Both Billy's and his father's. Billy at age 18 now has to face the real truth that just to get part of his tuition he has to sell his flock of champion sheep. It isn't like he had a giant flock you understand. He had about 20 head. Even if he didn't need the money he would have no place to keep them. I have managed to get my hands of a ewe to save for him. And with any luck when he graduated College that will be my gift to him.
But I want to do more. Billy is one of my Best Buds. I couldn't see doing all the 4-H events without him. So I figured if he needed help WHY WAIT? So with no futher adieu I introduce to you The QT Shepherd Scholarship Fund. To donate to the fund just go to the Scholarship Page and Pick your price. No donation is to small. And remember if you want to make a larger donation you can change the quantity before you check out. Let our Voices speak to a fellow shepherd when he needs the help. Please Donate if you can. Thanks
EDIT: Just so that everyone knows the crosses I worked on yesterday were for Billy and his Mom. I want to help them keep the faith.
