She made a deal with a Friend and they are going to do some furniture trading. We have large shelves in the room and they are going to become our storage shelves. Tonight Mom started cleaning out the books. We have so many and Mom makes us donate what we think we won't read again. I have some books I have kept since I was a baby. Like my "B is for Buckaroo" Book. It was my favorite bedtime story of all time. And who can for get my "Russell the sheep" book? I loved to hear that on nights I was wrestless. I even have the book I wrote.
Oh, did I ever mention that I was a published author at the ripe old age of 6? No? Huh, Must have slipped my mind. Well I am. Published that is. Okay only one page in the book is mine and no you won't really find it on a book store shelf. It was a grant that my teacher got when I was in public school and each kid in the class got one page to write and make a picture for. The book was called the "ABC animals". My page was the letter Z and I got to tell how some Animals lived in the Zoo. I am kind of glad that you can't really find this book in book stores because the last page has a dorkie class picture of our class on it. I don't like the picture. (Can you tell?)
Another thing Mom found was a magazine from the Masons. It had an essay in it that won my Sister a small scholarship. Mom kept it not just for that reason but she kept it because she says one day I will treasure it too. The topic of the essay was what makes a hero and my Sister wrote about me ... Crazy huh? Well, I took a picture of it so you can read it yourself but I don't see myself this way at all. Mom says no matter what it shows that at some point in her life she loved me and I can only pray she always will.
