You know sometimes people just see things different then they thought they would. And we all know that two people can see the same thing in very different ways. Look at this and tell me what you see???
I have learned many things living in the country. One thing I have learned is that to city folk, us country folk see things very different. For example those hoses ... We see 2 fire barriers and plumbing for all the water troths in the barnyard. Living on the Oklahoma Prairie in the summer has one very big danger and that is the danger of fire. With the winds that sweep the prairies fire spreads fast through the pastures. Taking only minutes to take all in it's path. I know that most people don't think about fire plans but we have one. When fire comes we have the sprinkler hoses in place and all the animals in the lots on the other side of the barrier.
In the summer we have to stock up on hoses because we use them all year long to fill water troths through out the barnyard. From Sheep to Alpaca to chickens to cattle. Everything relies on those hoses. You see a simple hose can be very important to country folk where as City folk don't ever thing of them as life saving.
I have to tell you, sometimes the differences in the way Mom and Dad (Mom being city folk and Dad being Country Folk) Is very different and very funny. For example in the country spare ammo is kept in the top drawer in your parents bedroom. Most kids know this and we also don't get into it unless you really have to or Mom will take you apart for getting into her personal things. This keeps the ammo safe from all those in the house. No one would dare disrespect Mom's things in that way. This isn't just our home but it is common in alot of country homes. Mom teases Dad that if the house ever got robbed and the gun case was broke into, Mom and Dad would look at her drawer that was strung all over the room in two very different ways. Mom says her first thought would be "Perverts". On the other hand Dad would look around and his first thought would be "Dang, they got the ammo too"
So today I thought I wouldn't want to go back but
