Not really about the business

8/22/2012

Okay, So by now everyone knows that my Mom and I are all about the animals right?  Well, today really did hold any surprizes so in the interest of keeping the Blog interesting I am going to tell you about something going on here at the farm that has nothing to do with anything but Mom.
I am sure most of you know that Mom believes that we were created by God to do one thing.  That is to care for the earth and animals that God created in the beginning.  She even says that everything else in the Bible is just to fix how badly we messed that task up.  Anyway, When Mom was at Joplin to get the bunnies, a lady approached her to be a foster home for a horse from Adler Hill Farm.  Mom said that she could only take one and that after that we were full in the horse department.
From there Phone calls back and forth took place and when it was all said and done I looks as if we will have a new foster horse to take care of.

If I have stolen the right picture off of Facebook This big white Geld is called Diablo.  He is having a few problems but Mom says she is going to try and change that.
Anyway, tomorrow morning he should be delivered to the house and he will be taking Ice's stall so that he can be off by himself while he gets used to the place.  Then this weekend we will start working with him to gain his trust.  We don't know when he will go back to the Adler Hill Farm because this is our first time to foster for another farm.  When we normally bring home rescue animals of any kind Mom has them signed over to her so that she can do what is in the best interest of the animal.  We aren't sure how everything works but basically we take care of everything and then when he gets adopted out the fees go to the rescue.  I am not sure that is fair but Mom says it is about the animal.  And  we like to think that those fees that go back to the farm go to help another horse in need.  This is our first time traveling down this road so if you are interested in following along let me know and I will post more as it happens and any speed bumps we hit on the way as well as potholes and obsticals.
Truth is this adventure has nothing to do with our fiber farm but it should be interesting to those who follow the blog.
