Mom has lost it!!!

2/20/2012

Okay, she hasn't lost it yet ... but she is going crazy!  She has this whole sping cleaning thing going on and I am no feeling it.  I guess there are a few things you need to know about me.  First,  Me and my Dad are both slobs.  Where we drop it.  It stays until Mom makes us pick it up or she picks it up herself.  If you think I am kidding let me show you... (Mom said not to but I am going to anyway and for the record Mom cleans all the time.  She just never gets anywhere because Dad and I can mess it up in about 10 minutes after she gets it cleaned.)  Here is what I mean .... Mom Does laundry and folds it and tells me to put it away.  This is my put away cloths....

I believe that if it isn't on the floor or you can't see it ... It will look clean to Mom.  Check out my gun rack.  Mom thinks this needs to be cleaned off.  I think that everything just might need to be straightened up a bit.

As you can see this is a great theory but doesn't really work.  Mom knows.  Over the last week or so She has been cleaning everything and She has been getting rid of things we don't use.  This is another way Dad and I are very different from Mom.  Mom doesn't like clutter at all.  She has this silly rule that she sets and it makes no sense to me.  The rule is that if something isn't seasonal (Chirstmas, Easter, Winter cloths Spring Cloths ECT) and you haven't used it in 6 months you don't need it and it is time for the item to go.  Dad and I feel just the opposite.  We need 4 or 5 of everything even if we haven't ever used them because you never know when you might need one.  Can you see why we drive her crazy?  Okay like my show box.  I don't use it all the time and this is how I left it the last time I did use it.

I probably should pick up the stuff I knocked out of it when I was digging in it and close the top but Mom wants me to clean it out.  I asked "What for? It will just get trashed again next time I need something out of it"  She informed me that if I had it cleaned out there would be no need to trash it to find anything.
Anyway, today Mom started in on my room.  I could either help or let her do it.  Let me tell you I helped.  Mom would have thrown away alot of good stuff in there.  We got the area under my bed done, my night stand cleaned out and off, and the closet was the big thing we got done.  I wish I had a picture of before to show you but Mom will be very glad that I didn't.

And don't think that she didn't get all those totes cleaned out too. She did and she even washed the totes.  Inside and Out!  I have to admit I love my room when it is clean.  It is blue and I have my ribbon collection growing.

Oh and I have great curtains Mom made me years ago.  She told me tonight that she needs to wash them but check it out.  Mom made everything.  The curtains go up and down so that in the summer I can darken my room and get to sleep on time when the sun stays up late.

Well, I better get off to bed.  Mom is talking about what area of my room will be cleaned tomorrow.  She is still on this whole change the rooms around and cleaning kick so I guess she is really meaning it this time.  I personally think that every room gets dirtier before it gets better.  I will keep you posted on her progress but I bet Dad and I can still mess things up pretty easy.  LOL
