Today I thought everything was going pretty good. First Mom had to take her work van into the shop and she took me with her. I got to eat lunch with her and our extention Agent. It was cool then when Dad got home Mom was on her second shift at the shelter and I got to rope with Dad. All that was great until tonight when I went to give Jimmy and Jamie their Bottles. They both have a cough and Jimmy the littlest one could really stand on his own. Mom had a meeting and when she called to tell me she was on her way home I told her what was going on. She got Dad out to the stall with one phone call. We all worked to get him going again. He got a couple of shots and in his bottle we hid Vitamins and Minerals. Then we figured that it was the colder nights getting him down as it has been in the 50s here for the last two nights and it was staying in the 70s. So we took and made a thicker bed of hay and put a heating lamp in the shed. That should keep him warm and since calves stay warm by shivering we took the shiver away with the lamp and gave more hay he can munch and lay on so Mom thinks by morning He will be good as new. Jamie has a cough but she is up and doing okay but we gave her a shot just to make sure. I am not sure if I like this weather change so much it got so cold so fast. One night made a lot of difference around here.
