It's been to Long

10/12/2011

Man it has been to long and so much has happened.  To bad it really isn't anything exciting.  I have bought a couple of small calves and we have been cutting fire wood for the winter.  Mom has been busy at work almost every night so it has just been me and Dad most nights.  Everything just seems to be getting into a routine.  I get up and do school work.  Then I go out and do chores and come back in and do the rest of my school work.  After that I spend most of my time roping and riding.  Winter is coming so I want to get all the practice in I can before I have to stop for the colder weather.  We did get the well shut down and Ice and I moved the pipe off the pasture.  He did really great and we didn't have any problems.  I also got a Birthday present from my Dad's Dad.  He passed down his old 30/30 to me and my cousin is suppose to come site it in for me so I can do some deer hunting this year.  I even went and picked up my deer tags already.  I so want to take a big buck this year.   I got to take it for Turtle shooting practice at the pond so that was fun.

We even took some time to let the sheep and goats into another pen to graze.  We have to watch them though because it isn't goat or sheep proof and we don't want them getting out.  With everything that is going on around here I talked Mom into trying to get some good shots of they goats in her spare time and this is what she came up with....Enjoy

Oh and you will never guess who has become friends.  Chief, the ram and Slickett, the cat.  Slickett is still Feral and she only lets Mom touch her but she is sweet and so cute....

And like a good Mom, She even got a picture of Ranger on his new Lead.  We are working to give him more room and trying to teach him not to chase.

Well, I think that is about it.  I know it isn't exciting but at least you now know that No news is good news.

Oh No! I almost forgot...

Hahahaha! Only thing to help that knitting problem is a covered basket that isn't pup friendly. He looks so cute and comfy though, I don't know that I could kick him out!

Slicket is a beautiful cat. I'm so glad to see she's got a happy home with you.

Good luck with that deer and holy cow, be careful with that rifle!

Penny in the basket right? How can you refuse those eyes. :) Maybe I need to send your Mom a yarn bowl. Wouldn't keep Penny out of her new comfy bed but at least your Mom could keep her current project at the ready.....
