Interesting ... Very Interesting ...

1/4/2013

So today was kind of interesting.  First, Mom was a bit upset when we got a letter in the mail that the community coop flock located at our house, was in danger of losing it's NPIP certification.  She took the letter to our extention agent for him to handle.  Then Mom called the program and made sure that mine flock was separate and was still straight because the letter that came to our address had my name on it.  I don't know if any one is aware of what NPIP is but it is a level program meaning that each year I have been on the program I am rated.  The more years on the program the higher the level.  If I was dropped because of the community coop being dropped I have to start my levels all over.  That isn't a good thing.  Mom had informed the new person that there was three things that had to be done when the building was moved.  She had to get insurance, switch the NPIP address and switch the building off of our property at the assessor's office.  Imagine the surprize Mom got after getting the letter, when she went to file our farm stuff for 2013 at the assessor's office and the building was still listed on our property.  I say again ... Mom was Hot ... REALLY HOT!!  Out of three things she had to do, the lady only did one and that is because our extention agent forced her to get the insurance before the building could be moved.
After all that Mom did all the town running and managed to take me to spend my gift certificate that I got for Christmas.  I ended up getting a new Heading rope.  I love it.  Then I also managed to find new handles online for mine and Dad's roping cans.  Then I got a call from my Uncle Justin and I went to team rope with him for a few hours But not before Mom got me to clean up on my room a bit.  She always manages to fit clean in .... LOL
`    One good thing that did happen today Is that we found out that our extention agent has managed to get a sheep and goat parasite workshop that includes FAMACHA training.  Mom called everyone she knew that would be interested and if all goes well we will be packing the house for this workshop.
I ended my day normal with dinner and chores.
