Hoping in the rain, I just hoping in the rain ....

2/3/2012

Okay so today we didn't do anything we had planned.  Dad and I were suppose to take Mom Bowling for her Birthday.  Sister was suppose to come too. Since everyone was mad at Mom, Mom didn't want to go be around them.  (It was for her birthday and why are they going to come and be mad at her and ruin her birthday?)  To add to Mom's sour mood, it rained.  We actually love the rain and we are thankful for it.  We have had a pretty dry year this year and the rains came at a good time.  The grass will start to green up now because we have been in the 60s for the last few days.  Mom said it just made her feel blah because of the way she was feeling.  She said something about being in a funk what ever that is.....

And it was alot of rain too ...

Did I mention it was ALOT ALOT of rain??  Well it was having trouble soaking in to the ground but when it finally did it was great.
As for Mom you all probably know her all to well.  That means you know she is going to do something to cheer herself up, Right?  Well, let me introduce you to Hope. (Mom calls her Hopey you know like the indian tribe) Hope is a Bassett from the shelter that had 5 puppies.  Isn't she awsome???

And Check out those Pups!  Aren't they cute.  I am trying to talk Dad into letting me keep one.... LOL No it isn't working ...

Anyway, I am sure you guessed it ... Mom brought her work home with her again.  We are going to be keeping Momma and Puppies until the puppies are weaned.  As for me being in a better mood about not getting to take Mom out???
Well, we ate chili we made in the crock pot and watched a western Movie of Mom's choice.  And in the end I got to do the best job of all ......

I got to hold and love and play with each Puppy as I took the puppies out of the carrier they were brought home in and  put them in the big kennel Mom set up for them.  You know .... I do get the best jobs around here!

Happy Birthday to your Mom. She's an amazing lady. Glad that you're getting rain. Puppy breath is one of the best smells in the world!
