5am Mom got everyone else in the house up
She did the dishs and started laundry
While Dad and I went out and did chores Mom made us some breakfast
While Dad and I did chores we weighted all the lambs and texted them to Mom who charted them
While Dad and I ate She then put a roast in the crockpot and got the lamb cam online
Dad and I left for our appointements
Mom swept and picked up the bathroom
Mom Created the Lamb info sheets for my book so I won't misbreed anything
Mom fed Cheyenne a bit early and headed out to fix the fence the heifers tore out yesterday
By 8:30am the fence was done except for the bottom clips
She came in and took some asprin
Barn check came next so she could go get the needed clips for the bottom of the fence
She found the Quads and chickens still penned up so she turned both out
She then decided the Quads pen needed cleaning and did so
Then she realized that the lamb water troth wasn't in place so she cleaned it and filled it up
When she got back to the Quads pen the Chickens had messed up their pen by scratching all the stuff from the other two parts of the pen into it so she cleaned the other two parts and recleaned the Quads pen.
Then she realized that Angel and Ice still had their jackets on so she went and took Angel's off but Ice wouldn't let her so she ended up working him to make him obey her ... Took about 20 minutes
Finally she made it back to the house with the fence clips and a slinter in her finger.
She removed the splinter, Checked dinner, Fed Cheyenne again and then went to put clips on the fence
At this point she kind of felt hungry ... Really? Can you imagine that?? LOL ... She grabbed a poptart and a cup of coffee and sat down to fill out some of the lamb sheets she made earlier in the day.
She fixed the cam again ... Seems little Miss Cheyenne likes to unplug things ...
Then she went to take care of the ducks and realized that breeding season started 4 days ago for them so she started power cleaning so that we could pair them when Dad and I got home.
She not only clean their outside runs but the nesting boxes too
She stopped to go change her shirt because the ducks love water and love to help clean things up and Mom was soaked.
Then she came inside sorted the trash and started the burn barrel
Tired she sat down to do some more of the lamb sheets
When she looked out the window she realized that the trailer didn't get put up yesterday because when Dad and I got back from the rodeo last night she was birthing a set of twins So she went out and put the trailer where it went.
Another barn check was in order so while she was there she picked up all the barn laundry to add to when she already had going
When she did the barn check she noticed it was getting hot in the barn today so she moved Twix and the Triplets out to the outside pen to get some fun in the sun
She had to take down the boards that we use to winteriize the stalls with in the winter so that air could circulate in the other pens as one day old babies don't get to go out until they are at least a week old.
At this point one of the show chickens got out and Mom caught it and put it up... Stupid bird .. LOL
With the fence fixed it was time to sort the cattle and put them back out on the pasture
At this point Dad and I made it home. It was around 2:30pm
We finished helping Mom sort the cattle and horses to the right stalls
Then Mom and I went to pair the ducks while Dad redid the other part of the fence that needed it.
After that Mom decided it was time to take the sides off the Duck pond too so her and I did just that.
From there I got Mom to take a few Pictures for me of some show birds I am going to sell before we cleaned Twix's stall
After that We took a break and finished the lamb sheets
Mom and I then took to changing the old dog pen into a calf pen
Mom Raked it and removed the old dog barrel
In the middle of that Dad came and helped fill in the holes where the old dog used to dig and he also got babysitting duty so that Mom could go make dinner
Mom found time to take some pictures of Cheyenne and her adventure while making Mash potatoes and Gravy to go with the Roast and Brownies for dessert
At this point we all sat down to eat dinner ... Yes, we say grace and everything
After that Dad helped me get Twix put up for the night and I did chores at the barn while he showered and got to bed by 7pm
Mom at this point was getting all the pictures she took of the day off the camera and onto the pc so that I could use them for this post....
After chores I blogged and then I too will be showering and off to bed to start the day all over again at 5am when Mom gets me up to start my day with School work. (No I didn't have school today ... I am ahead in days so I took today off)
As for the pictures here are some really cute ones I thought you might like ...
In other news I have decided on names for everything ... First Momma Shetland's Baby is now Pickles, Lakota's Baby is Comanche and Seneca's twins are Quapaw (little black ram) and Chickasaw (little white ewe) And in case you missed it Cheyenne is online at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/youngshepherd We feed at 9 and 3 and she is on here and there as well but most the time she is sleeping so we turn it off. We hope you tune in at 3 or 9 though because we always make sure it is on for feedings....
Last order of Business we need naming convections for the goats this year. We only have the three angora goats and camilla and Jazzie are still small so I don't think they are bred but I am pretty sure Dimples is so if she does grace us with little ones I want to have an idea of what to name them. Any ideas will help ... LOL
