Today I got up early and did all my school work before day break. After breakfast I headed to the barnyard. With Winter fast approaching I have alot to do. I started with the show chicken pen and cleaned out everything. Then I moved on to the sheep and Goat stalls. I cleaned them all out to and moved the lamp that the livestock will use for heat this winter. Then I set Ranger up a pen in the corner of the shed with his bed and food and water. I think he is getting so much better. The first thing that I noticed was yesterday when that chicken was on the place Ranger wouldn't go after it no matter how much I wanted him to. That means he has learned not to eat chickens. Tonight he is doing really well too. He is just laying in his stall with the sheep and goats like he has always been there with them. I remember when we first got him he would chew on Jazzie's legs. I hope over time I will be able to turn him loose and he will be just like one of the herd. After I got the Stalls done I did both Calf sheds. With Rain on the way I only got part of the tack room cleaned out. I still have the front barn to go and the feed room and the well house. I hope I get it all done before the bad weather sets in for what we like to call Old Man Winter.
