So before I run off to the rodeo I wanted to share with you the name I have decided on for our Dorset Ewe. First I want to say thanks for the ideas but being true to her Oklahoma heritage means alot to me. This Ewe is 100% breed, born and raised right here in Oklahoma. And we hope to make her into a hit with her socks.... So Without Further adue I give your "Carrie" ... If you all remember Carrie Underwood came from a small town in Oklahoma and rose to the top too. So With her new name we hope to help you be producing Carrie cloths just as fast as she can grow them, we can get them milled and ya'll can create them.... I hope Carrie Cloths will someday be a household name .... LOL

Okay, now I'm going to have to save my pennies and get into her shares sometime. My dad started calling me Carrie on the day I was born!

I love the idea of Carrie Clothes. I have a shawl that is made from a cria named Sunshine, and Lot's hat came from the Bison at Bison Ridge, in Packwaukee, WI. I worked there for a couple of summers, giving spinning demos and selling my wool. You really don't get to know which bison the fiber comes from, because you pick it up out of the field in spring, AFTER the bison have been moved to the next paddock. You don't EVER EVER want to be on foot in the paddock the bison are in, they'll stomp you flat. In fact, Jessie never worked the bison with horses, or really anything smaller than an F150 pickup. they tried using a car once, and the herd chased the car out of the field! Comments are closed.
