Anyway, as everyone knows I was looking for ways to entertain everyone through the winter months because there isn't alot that goes on around here when it is cold. We have "Lot the lamb" who will be including us in his travels and that should be fun. I know it is silly to some and that some will pay it no mind to the game. So I have another way you serious fiber-aholics can keep interested this winter as well. You see, Mom is starting a new project and I have talked her into letting ya'll in on it and take suggestions.
What is it you ask? Well, Mom has decided to make a poncho. (Mom loves ponchos) And it will be her first Fleece to clothing project. She will be spinning the fleece to yarn and then she says she is going to crochet it because she is better at crochet and she wants it to turn out nice. No, she doesn't have a pattern yet either.
There are a few things she has said about it. She says she wants it to be nice but nothing so special that she can't wear it out to do our everyday tasks. She also said it will only have natural colors. No dyes. It has to have a hood but no ties. She would consider a "built in scarf" but that will be as fancy as it gets. Oh and she wants slits for her arms. She hates fringe and wants the ponco to come down to her mid thigh or her knees ...
Okay, now the catch! She says she will only be posting updates to this project on Ravelry. So I started a thread in the group for her to use. With any luck this link will take you there .... Mom's thread on Ravelry I hope everyone enjoys her thread and helps her find a great pattern.
