Before the storm

7/7/2012

Last night was a quiet one.  Then this morning I headed to the sale barn.  While there I found out that there is an auction that will be a going out of business sale for a sheep farm.  So I made arrangements to be able to be there and maybe pick up a few things cheaper then New.  After we got home Dad and I roped a bit.  As of now the rain isn't here but the lightening is.  If our luck holds we will have a down pour in no time.  We sure could use it before we start the hay season.
The rest of our time has been spent making plans.  To be honest it is kind of weird the way we are going to do this but we are bringing Hope home under the cover of darkness tomorow.  First, she is a worry wart so she will stress if she travels alone.  That mean we will be taking Charlie with us.  Juno will be fine because he calls this home but just in case we are going to pen him in his old stall where he feels safe.  Then we will drive all night to get to Walnut Creek Alpaca Farm.  Once there Hope the worry wart will be loaded up with Charlie and drove straight home.  We will get home in the early morning hours but we will then put Charlie and Hope in the pen next to Juno for the night.  After a good nights sleep we will introduce them and see how it goes.  With any luck they will all be able to be on the pasture until the Baby is due to come.  Hope is due Sept. 20th so we will keep watch and you will know as soon as things start to happen.
For now I am going to get a good nights sleep and get things done while Mom is at work tomorrow ... When she gets home we leave.  I will take the flip and video everything I have light for.  Oh, I did have one thing to report.  I kind of busted my elbow open when a large sheep ran me down at the sale barn.  Check this out ...

Very exciting, it'll be great to have Hope safely home at last. I hope everything goes well and you have good journeys both ways. And ouch, your poor elbow!
