Oh don't get me wrong everything we have that can be vaccinated is vaccinated for it. From the cats and dogs to the horses. So why do we worry about it? Well, they say even with the vaccination animals can still get rabies but if it cuts their chances hey, we are all for that. Also look at Mom and the line of work she is in. Last nights coon was just the beginning.
You see, today I ended up hanging out with Mom at work most of the day ... Who by the way had a bad day. You see there was this cat and it bit someone. So the cat, who appeared sick but okay, was quarentined. Last night some time after Mom left the shelter it passed away. That means it now has to be tested and if it comes back positive the person it bit will have to take shots too. Mom is upset as she takes everything personal. (The lose of life is the one thing she takes the most personal) Anyway, what I am getting at is that my day was ruled by Rabies so if you have a pet get it vaccinated and don't mess around with animals you don't know ... By the way my horses go for boosters next Tuesday ... Not taking any chances here.
Finally when we got home I got the last of the shetland lambs out of the barn for their first day in the sun. (Up until now it has been raining) I did get a couple of shots with Mom's phone because the old camera we use is just that Old and it is starting to act up ... We have had it for about 7 yrs now and it has just passed it's prime I guess. So Mom has decided that a new camera is in order. She says to ask all of you for suggestions on a camera Priced no more then $200.00 but it not only has to have good quality but it has to be able to take action shot to get the lambs jumping about and me on my horse roping. And I say it can't be one of those, slow, hold that pose forever before Mom gets the shot cameras, either...
So in closing enjoy these not so great phone camera shots of the Shetlands first day out. The first shot is the only shot the camera worked for ... to bad you really can't see the babies.
